Private Motor Yacht Charter
Kilifi / Mtwapa departureA 42ft flybridge motor yacht with skipper and crew for a full day on the Indian Ocean.
Two and a half hours on a traditional lateen-rigged dhow through the Old Port, with canapés and a bar.
The oldest way to see Mombasa and still the best. We sail from Tudor Creek at around four, run past Fort Jesus and the Old Port as the light drops, and come back under the stars.
The dhow is a working boat, restored and re-rigged, with cushioned decks and a small bar. Canapés are Swahili — mishkaki, samosas, coconut bites — and the crew includes a taarab player on most sailings.
It suits everyone: couples, families, groups and anyone who has been landlocked in a conference all day. Private charters of the whole boat are available for up to 25 people.
Map shows the general area. Exact directions are sent with your confirmation.

A full day from Shimoni into Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park — dolphins, coral gardens and a Swahili sea…
One short letter a month — where to go when the crowds leave, which houses have just come onto the books, and what a coastal property is really earning.
